Advantages of a Macbook over something else.

Cade asked me to look into five ATG boxes that Ned said were not syncing up with the NTP server correctly.

I pulled all five up and ran date on them. They seemed to be synced, perfectly.

Apparently, they synced after Ned saw the problem.

Looks like I’ll be meeting with Manufacturing to see if I can help out with their situation, down there.

tail -f httpd-access.log will show my the most recent additions to my log, dynamically.

sockstat -4l will show what services are running (security)

find ./ -name logrotate

tail -f httpd-access.log | awk ‘{print $1}’ was the same as above, but only showed the offending IPs generating the log.

du -sh *
